A well-known quote summarizes the run - "[t]he best laid plans of mice and men often go astray."
The Omelette House in Lodi, CA was glorious. We highly recommend it. However, it turns out we can't follow our own instructions. We led the group right past the 99N on ramp, misread our own directions, and did not recover until we completed the southern "unmapped" route to our first destination - Nua Dair Vineyards in Ione. In the process we lost one car (sorry, Gordon). We then proceeded in the opposite direction along the Plymouth loop from that shown on the run map to the Amador Flower Farm where we saw, among the plants and flowers, a lot of big carp. We skipped the Cooper Vineyards, having passed it on the way to the Flower Farm due to our circuitous path of travel. We then went "commando," off the run map, down Ostrum Rd. through Fiddletown to Highway 49, and proceeded south to Jackson Rancheria for a lavish buffet lunch.
