Arizona officials told UPI they are pleased with the impact of highway photo-enforcement cameras even though more than half the pictures are unusable. The cameras have been activated by alleged speeders over 471,000 times - about 5,200 time per day. Yet, 65% of the photographs are unusable because of sun glare, dirty windshields and traffic congestion. The Arizona Department of Public Safety (Office Of Income Enhancement) must match the photo of the speeder with one on a driver's license in order to issue a ticket.
Thus, if driving in Arizona do not, repeat, do not clean that windshield. That should help public safety.
