BMW is offering on-board precipitation radar as a ConnectDrive option in Germany. Drivers in equipped vehicles have the option of calling up graphics inside the car that show the current precipitation for any location in Germany. There are two zoom settings, the information is updated every 15 minutes and it shows the geographical distribution of rain, hail or snow.
