Mom, We Didn't Ask You To Wear An "A"

Susie Kessler is a hovering, paranoid, control freak of a mom, and now she wants to instill her fear in everyone with teenage kids who just learned to drive. She has created a magnetic sticker that says "Caution Newly Licensed" that is applied to her car whenever her son, who just got his driver's license, takes to the streets. She has sold 15,000 of the stickers to paranoid parents and has the Georgia legislature now considering making them mandatory.

Actually, shouldn't the sticker be inside the car where it can remind the newbie driver of his or her limited new skills, rather than other drivers who don't give a rat's @5$ whether they know your child is a new driver?

Ms. Kessler, there is an easier, less expensive, solution that we experienced drivers would like to see you adopt, although you won't be able to sell it to legislatures so that you can make a profit. It is called "responsibility." If your son is a bad driver DON'T GIVE HIM YOUR CAR KEYS and get him some professional driving lessons. That will do much more for road safety, and calming my paranoia over your newly licensed driver, than your glorious magnet.
