The 24 Hours of LeMons is a series of races that require that contestants not pay more than $500 for their race vehicles. Team Union Jack Racing members run a car salvage company and had paperwork allegedly "proving" that their total vehicle cost was under $500 based on it being a salvaged roll-over victim offset by the sale of its interior parts. They were permitted to race but were levied a 1,066 lap penalty.
