Now available at the iTunes App Store is BMW's free "M program" for the iPhone. The free program measures vehicle acceleration using the iPhone's (or iPod Touch's) built-in accelerometer. It measures 0-60 mph times and other user-customizable speeds in mph or kph. It also measures forward and lateral G-forces and different skins are available on BMW's Web site to customize the look and feel of the app.
