BMWBlog provides BMW's "interim conclusion" after the Munich field test of 15 MINI-E's, the smallest one in BMW's ongoing usability tests which involve some 600 cars worldwide. BMW discovered that drivers did not get close to the driving range limits of 150 to 180 km with an average of only 37 km driven daily. Thus, BMW has concluded that the driving range is sufficient for future commercial versions. The fact is that most users leave their cars at home or at work, unused for several hours, which is sufficient for a slow charge in five to six hours.
