USA Today interviewed a number of MINI-E drivers and one driver summed up the article's findings, Jim Dow, 67, of Newport Beach, California who told USA Today, "It's the car of choice, the one everyone in the family fights over." Earlier this year when MINI offered a year lease renewal for the MINI E in California (renewal lessees pay $600/month down from $850/month, and the rent includes maintenance and insurance) fifty percent of the lessees renewed their leases.
