Automobiles review reports that MINI will offer a JCW factory tuning kit for the 2011 Cooper S, Cooper S Clubman and Cooper S Convertible. It states that the kit:
. . . boosts the engine of MINI Cooper S to 200PS (147 kW) at 5700RPM and 250Nm (184 lb-ft) between 1250 and 5000RPM. However, the overboost function makes 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) between 1 800 and 5 000 RPM. The results are thanks to a performance-optimized engine management and a new air filter system. The acceleration is superb – 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 234 km/h (145 mph)
JCW tuning kit also includes a sports silencer with chrome tailpipes, and 18″ Cross Spoke Red Stripe light-alloy wheels.
