Australian MINI RAY To Sell For Less Than $30K

MINI Australia has introduced to Australia the MINI RAY, an entry level MINI with a base sticker of $25,500 AUS (about $26,000 US). The RAY was first introduced in Italy and has a number of distinctive styling features such as MINI RAY mirror caps and side scuttles in six different colors: Alien Green, Lemon Yellow, Flash White, Energy Pink, Vitamin Orange and Shocking Blue as well as MINI RAY specific hub caps designed and imported from Italy.

The MINI RAY comes standard with the 1.6 litre engine with VALVETRONIC valve operation, an MP3 player connection, a 6-speaker sound system and an on-board computer with Condition Based Service Interval Indicator. It is available in the following exterior colors: Pepper White or Chilli Red are standard but there are also three metallic paint options available - Midnight Black, British Racing Green and Velvet Silver. The Ray comes with a standard six-speed manual transmission.
