Schirra Motoring, a specialist in long-distance racing since 1982, will drive a MINI in the upcoming 24 Hour Race at the Nürburgring. For the 24 Hour Race the team will rely upon its proven driver line-up of Friedrich von Bohlen, Markus Oestreich, Peter Scharmach, Harald Grohs and Nils Bartels, and is targeting nothing less than a Top 20 placing for the new power MINI. The new car is lighter, the transmission and suspension have been optimized, the aerodynamics have ben fine-tuned and, as a result, produces over 300 horsepower in a total weight of under 990 kilograms.
