MINI UK is asking drivers to send their cars to the moon with a new space-themed site developed by Lida, Mini Lunatics. Visitors to the site are asked to register, list their mileage and fill in details about their MINI. The car is then entered into the correct 'mileage bay' for its miles. The more miles MINI receives, the further into 'space' it will go. Entrants can win prizes revealed on certain areas of the site, and can also be entered into a Grand Prize Draw with chance to win a family holiday to Cape Canaveral. As well as the space age theme, MINI is also trying to foster a sense of community among owners with a social element: another feature of the site is that you can find out about other MINI drivers in your area. For example you can type in your postal code and select the color red to find other red MINI owners in the neighborhood.
