Among the many things that were revealed this week was the full color line-up for the 2014 MINI. While there are many changes there are quite a few colors that are carrying over for 2014.
- Pepper White
- Midnight Black
- Thunder Gray (via the GP)
- Iced Chocolate
- White Silver
- British Racing Green II
- Chili Red (with JCW Exterior Cosmetic Package only – available with March production)
The last one will likely raise some eyebrows. Yes Chili Red is still available but it’s a color that MINI will only associate with the JCW sub-brand going forward. That means you will not be able to order Chili Red without the JCW package and the JCW aero-kit. Also of interest Thunder Gray will come the masses as it moves from an exclusive GP color to one that is available across the range.
Now only those new colors.
- Volcanic Orange
- Moonwalk Gray (available with March Production)
- Blazing Red
- Deep Blue
The two that we’ve seen a lot of this week of course are Volcanic Orange and Blazing Red. As many have expressed, VO is not orange in any traditional sense. In fact by all accounts it’s basically deep yellow. Blazing Red on the other hand is all red and in fact looks fantastic to these eyes. Not something I can say about most metallic reds.
