The Wall Street Cheat Sheet discusses an Edmund's survey that looked at the best bargains in convertibles. The MINI Cooper Roadster was one of nine vehicles chosen as a bargain. The article asserts:
The Mini Cooper Roadster, which is slightly different from the Cooper Convertible (it has a more sedan-inspired shape, versus the traditional hatchback), and is bred specifically for driving pleasure. It’s balanced, sporty, personable, and easily maneuvered through cities and other busy environments. Over 2 percent of Edmunds‘ survey takers decided that the Mini Roadster, which retails for $25,550, was the best bargain

The MINI Cooper Convertible also made the list:
Comfortably beating out its sibling with 3.5 percent of survey respondents pulling for it, the Mini Convertible offers a more traditional-Mini approach to the drop-top with the beloved and signature hatchback format. It’s also slightly cheaper than the Roadster at $25,150, and for pure driving enjoyment, there are few vehicles that offer the kind of agile fun that the Mini offers.
