MINI Bumpers Get Rating Of "Poor" From The IIHS
The New York Times reports on the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety study of seven small car bumpers. MINI was given a rating of "Poor." None were rated "Good." Only one was rated "Acceptable." One was rated "Marginal." The remaining four were also rated "Poor." Sounds like one of the major reasons the MINI was rated "Poor" was the cost of repair. Damage repairs to the Kia Rio were equal to 1/3 of the cost of a new car.
