28 Classic Cars To Be Auctioned Due To Mary Jane

Clarence E. DeBerry was serving a five-year sentence for selling marijuana when he died last year. DeBerry told police that he had sold marijuana for 25 years.

Since his death police and his lawyers have argued over which of the 60 cars seized from DeBerry had been bought using drug profits, and could therefore be sold at public auction.

Only 28 will be auctioned off, including a Model T and a 1957 Chevy. The cars are expected to bring in more than $500,000, most of which will go to the Indiana State Police and the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.

The auction will be held this Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Indiana Live Casino in Shelbyville, Indiana.
