More MINI-E Woes Surface

We reported on some dissatisfaction among MINI-E drivers over the unexpected upgrade expense to home charge the MINI-E. Autobloggreen now advises that a number of other problems and annoyances are surfacing. In addition to the $1,500 home wiring upgrade, there are reports that the cars sometimes go into neutral when the driver steps on the accelerator. Brake problems and battery overheating also are said to be rather endemic. MINI's answer to MINI-E overheating is to tell drivers to take a break and smell the roses (while the batteries cool down).
