Voted Most Likely To .. .

The Affinion Group, a marketing company, conducted a survey of American cities and rated them on everything from road rage to how often drivers put on lipstick in the car to determine the best and worst places to drive in the United States. You will be glad to know that California cities did receive significant mention:

1. Sacramento came in No. 4 for polite drivers. (We suspect the survey was taken when the Legislature was not in session otherwise the results might have been different);

2. San Diego was the No. 1 place drivers were most likely to speed, but then comes rush hour, and;

3. San Diego was the No. 1 place where drivers were most likely to slam on their brakes;

4. San Francisco has the dubious distinction of being the place where a driver is most likely to be text-messaging in their car.
