Autonomous Parking System Needs To Become Self-Aware

Check out this video of a prototype autonomous parking system inexpensively assembled by Volkswagen Automotive Innovation Laboratory. Very cool. However, it does need an obstacle detection system so that pedestrians and roving animals are not sacrificed in the name of automation.
