MINI-E Puts Electric Car Durability In Question

Electrical components are very sensitive to the elements and, apparently, to potholes. The founder of GM-Volt.com was driving a MINI-E when it came to a dead stop in a construction zone after hitting a pothole. The power electronics unit failed (for the second time), putting the car into neutral and preventing any movement. Thus, major questions arise for MINI and GM as to how to make sophisticated electronic vehicles more durable.
