MINI Throws False Alarms

During CarandDriver.com's long term testing of the MCS JCW the alarm system keeps throwing false alarms. They think it is common to MINIs and BMWs and is due to "problems with the hood-latch sensor, the interior motion detector, or the tow-away sensor, and a handful of forum posts point to a computer reflash that may be able to make things right."
