Hacking Late Model Cars

Apparently hackers have discovered how to remotely hack late model car computers and control a wide range of automotive functions and completely ignore driver input -- including disabling the brakes, selectively braking individual wheels on demand and stopping the engine, among other functions. Researchers at the University of Washington and the University of California San Diego determined that all the hackers need is access to your ECU and that there are few, if any, safeguards to stop it.
