BMW May Share MINI Platform With Saab

We know what you are thinking. Really? An extremely good brand name bought, destroyed and, then sold, by GM to stay alive, sharing the MINI platform?

According to Automotive News Europe Saab and BMW are in talks to do just that. Saab wants the platform for a new small car - the Saab 9-2. There are also plans for BMW to supply a diesel engine for Saab's 9-4X midsize crossover but, as of the time of this posting BMW says no contracts have been signed.
