New iPhone App Gives You Leverage Over The Cost Of Car Repairs

Wired's blog Autopia discusses "AutoMD," a new iPhone application that uses the parts catalog of parent company US Auto Parts Network and verified hourly labor rates to give customers estimates of just how much it could cost to repair their cars. When the mechanic tells you the cost of repair and parts you can immediately check it out with this new application to determine whether you are getting fleeced. At the very least it is a good starting point for negotiations.
