The EPA has approved for sale at service stations E15, a fifteen percent ethanol in gasoline mixture for use in 2007 and later vehicles, however, according to BimmerFile the maximum allowed for use in a BMW is 10% (E10 the current blend). After internal testing, BMW is not condoning the use of E15 at this time in any new or old BMW or MINI.
