Countryman seems like a well-conceived product for Mini, expanding its appeal without losing its soul. Its cool looks and responsive drivability should attract anyone in the market for a distinctive compact SUV, though I would recommend sticking with the turbo S models.

I can also see where the Mini SUV would have special appeal for women. I just know when my wife gets a load of it, she’ll most certainly want one of her own.
