About 85% Wear Seatbelts Except Those In North Dakota

Centers for Disease Control (CDC) data shows that seatbelt usage is up to 85% nationally. Oregon has the highest usage (94%) and North Dakota the lowest usage (54%). States with laws that permit police officers to pull over drivers solely for not wearing a seatbelt have significantly higher rates of compliance.
