Jeep To Take On MINI

Reports suggest Jeep's new compact urban runabout will  be based on tthe Fiat Panda Cross pictured above.

Jeep CEO Mike Manley revealed at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show that a mini-Jeep model will be launched by 2013 to compete with models like the MINI Countryman. Fiat’s small-car knowhow will be crucial to the development of the mini-Jeep and will include Fiat’s four-cylinder engine range and possibly the Fiat Grande Punto platform. Both front-wheel and all-wheel drive versions are expected.
