Michelin To Provide Roadside Assistance And Exchange Privilege

Michelin has started a three-part warranty/guarantee plan called "The Michelin Promise Plan." It grants North American buyers a 30-day exchange period to select another set of Michelin or alternative-brand tires at or below the original tires’ purchase price. Additionally, in the event of a flat tire, the plan offers three years of roadside assistance. A technician would help a customer change to a spare or provide a tow to a Michelin dealer within 150 miles of the breakdown. A prorated expanded mileage warranty is also part of the package, but it does not apply to tires sold with used vehicles. Some Michelin tires designated for racing are excluded, but run-flat tires are included. Depending on the tire model, Michelin’s limited warranty applies from 30,000 to 90,000 miles.

Additional details on the Michelin Promise Plan can be found on the brand’s Web site.
