MINI E's Likely To Be Disassembled At End Of Leases

The Wall Street Journal reports the 450 EVs BMW built as part of a demonstration fleet and leased to customers in the U.S. will be returned to the automaker later this year.  BMW hasn’t decided exactly what will happen to them, but they will most likely  be taken apart and the batteries and other parts will be used in some other fashion according to an interview with Richard Steinberg, manager of electric vehicle operations and strategy for BMW of North America. They will not be offered for sale to customers.
