The MINI One is the entry-level MINI. It is not available in North America, however, it is now available in South Africa according to
iol motoring. Similar to the MINI Cooper, it has a 1.6-litre engine with Valvetronic technology, but only produces about 90 horsepower. The Mini One is characterized as "the poverty model in the range" which is reflected in the styling as it sports black-coloured grille slats, door mirrors and tailgate handle while the Cooper's alloy wheels make way for 15-inch steel rims with hubcaps.
