John Floyd reviews the MINI Coupe for
BusinessDay after driving it on a Cape Town, South Africa racetrack. He advises,
I found the car to be equal to anything that has gone before, but I am still not too sure about the looks, or indeed how many people will buy one. It could well appeal to the more avant-garde individual but I just cannot get my head around the fact that, whichever way you look at it, it is a niche market and does the new Coupé offer anything more than the conventional hatch? I personally do not think so, but time will tell.
