You Want Real Fuel Economy?

Then lobby MINI to bring diesels to North America!

motoring.co.uk has a short review of the MINI Hatchback One D and observes in its article:
The MINI Hatchback One D costs less to run than a solar-powered sewing machine. As such it averages 74.3mpg rising to 80.7mpg on the extra-urban cycle. Even through town – where cars tend to guzzle gas – our cross-stitcher manages a tremendous 67.3mpg. And there is more. This 1.6-litre 90PS MINI has rock-bottom carbon emissions of 99g/ km.
