MINI Still Contemplating Diesels For The US

autoevolution advises MINI Diesels for the North American market are not yet a done deal but may be introduced if you continue to ask nicely, all based on these comments:
Speaking to Auto Guide at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show last week, MINI brand product chief Pat McKenna hinted that MINI is considering a diesel version of the Cooper for the US market, as the demand for oil burners i[s] [sic]  growing nationwide. “We hear it from our dealers and our customers,” he said
