Oh Deer!!!!!!

In the past two years US motorists have been involved in an estimated 2.3 million vehicle collisions with deer.This is a ten fold increase in the number of such collisions. State Farm Insurance estimates that 1 in 42 drivers will hit a deer in the next 12 months. Such collisions cause about 200 fatalities a year in the US. The map shows where the highest and lowest risks of hitting a deer are located. In its article AutoMedia.com points out that:
. . . deer are red-green color blind—that is why they do not see orange hunting vests and camo clothing. However, they do see blue and purple well. This is something to keep in mind next time you buy a car, especially in West Virginia.
