Along with standard ALL4 all-wheel-drive, the Mini John Cooper Works Paceman is powered by 1.6 liter 4-cylinder turbo engine making a maximum 208 hp at 6,000 rpm with a peak torque of 207 lb-ft with Overboost at 1,700 – 4,500 rpm (192 lb-ft of torque at 1,850 – 5,600 rpm). The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox or a 6-speed manual, allowing it to run from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds. 
Fuel-economy wise the John Cooper Works Paceman averages an EPA estimated 25/31 mpg (city/highway) and 27 mpg combined when mated to a 6-speed manual and 23/30 mpg or 26 mpg combined with the automatic. 
Visually, the Mini John Cooper Works Paceman gets a new aerodynamic kit, 18-inch alloy wheels, a sports exhaust system, door sills bearing the John Cooper Works logo and some sporty upgrades on the inside.
