MINI is making updated powerplants starting in March 2010. The MINI One will get a 1.6L powerplant upping power from 97 hp to at least 120 hp and 36 mpg. The MCS will now sport BMW’s Valvetronic system which continuously variates timing (on both intake and exhaust camshafts) intake valve lift. This will bring the S up to 181 hp. The JCW, with the Valvetronic system, should have about 212 hp.
