BMW To Rally A Well Worn 2003 MINI

MINI and BMW Group Classic are registered as partners for the Allgau-Orient Rally, an event that combines driving fun with fundraising skills. Each team must purchase a 20+ year old car for no more than €1,111.11 ($1,446) and prepare for the rally, a long trip across Europe to the finish line in Jordan.Teams must drive 666 km (416 miles) per day, cannot use highways and leave the cars behind at the end of the race to be sold for charity.

According to the BMW Power blog of autoevolution MINI will rally a 2003 MINI Cooper with over 180,000 km (110,000 miles) on its odometer. This car is the only exception from the 20-year old rule and is the official car of the organizing committee.

NORCAL MINIS is Northern California's premier MINI club since 2003 for the promotion of the MINI brand and lifestyle. Our members are MINI Cooper enthusiasts.

NorCal MINI's club officers and directors are volunteers who dedicate their own time, knowledge and skills to making a difference in the MINI community.

We have fund raisers for charitable causes meaningful to our members while having fun in our Minis. 100% of any donations made go to the charities.

Annual dues are used for the support of Club operations such as reservations, administrative supplies or charity.

--- MEMBERSHIP DUES ---

NORCAL MINIS is open to all and ownership of any MINI model car is encouraged, but not required.

Payment of annual dues is a prerequisite to membership. Membership begins on date dues are received by the club Treasurer and expire on December 31st of the same year.

New members are $35

Renewals are $25, during open enrollment period only otherwise the cost is $35

Members must be at least 18 years of age with legal rights to sign any event disclaimers. One spouse or significant other, per paid membership is considered a member with all the rights and privileges of Club membership.
