Cattaneo Wins NASA Title, Looks For Overall Series Win
Sarah Cattaneo won a national title Sunday during the NASA Championships presented by Toyo Tire in her No. 111 Mini Cooper S with a a new track record for the Performance Touring C class with a sub-1:39 lap. She and co-driver Owen Trinkler stand in third place in the Street Tuner class standings of the Grand-Am Continental Tires Sports Car Challenge, just nine points behind the leader Nic Jonsson and six points behind second-place Ryan Eversley. Cattaneo is trying to make history by becoming the first female season champion in Grand-Am racing.
