Peterhansel Tops Overall Dakar Standings After Stage 2

Stéphane Peterhansel leads the 2012 Dakar Rally after winning Stage 2, 200 kilometres of solid ground, just over 30 kilometres of volcanic grey dunes and a final 40 kilometres or so of soft sand.

According to MINI Motorsport,

The rest of the X-raid Team could also be very happy with its day's work. All five MINI ALL4 Racing finished the second stage in the top ten. Krzysztof ended the stage in fourth place, with Nani Roma just one place back. The fastest MINI driver on day one, Leonid Novitskiy, came home eighth fastest. Ricardo Leal dos Santos finished in ninth place.

--- MEMBERSHIP DUES ---

NORCAL MINIS is open to all and ownership of any MINI model car is encouraged, but not required.

Payment of annual dues is a prerequisite to membership. Membership begins on date dues are received by the club Treasurer and expire on December 31st of the same year.

New members are $35

Renewals are $25, during open enrollment period only otherwise the cost is $35

Members must be at least 18 years of age with legal rights to sign any event disclaimers. One spouse or significant other, per paid membership is considered a member with all the rights and privileges of Club membership.
