MotoringFile says MINI USA has eliminated the Recaro Seats option for the Roadster as of October 30, 2012, due to unusual wear of the seats as the result of the seat belt anchor design. Apparently, the anchor provider was not able to design an adequate replacement for the Roadster so, according to the article, MINI USA informed dealers on October 30, 2012, of the elimination Recaro Seats option on the Roadster.
