No More Joint Partnerships Between BMW And PSA Peugeot Citroen?

It appears BMW may not extend its joint partnership with PSA Peugeot Citroen beyond the current MINI engine partnership according to an article that appeared in Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport magazine. BMW's head of research and development, Klaus Draeger, is quoted in the interview article as stating "A further cooperation in the area of other components, let alone platforms, is not planned" although a BMW spokesperson said this was misleading and the two companies would "look into options for further collaboration" and cited the possibility of joint development, production and procurement at a systems and component level.
