Aussie Soccer Players Seek Cover As Their MINI Catches Fire At 70 MPH

According to the Manchester Evening News,
Oldham Athletic players James Wesolowski, 24, and Alex Cisak, 22, were forced to run for their lives when the Mini Cooper burst into flames as they returned from a match.
The seven year old MINI had been purchased by Wesolowski less than six months prior to the incident. There is no indication in the article as to the cause of the fire. Wesolowski recounted,
"We had played Bournemouth and I had left the car at the Leicester services because me and Alex live near there. But on the way back I heard a click in the engine. I said to Alex ‘that doesn’t sound good’, pulled over and we got out. There was smoke coming from under the bonnet and Alex went for a look and said ‘there’s flames under there’.

"We both ran into a pig farm and then watched the car burn out at the side of the motorway.

"It was bizarre. We called the fire service and they came but by the time it was put out there was nothing left of it."
