Report from Gizmodo that Navigon has announced it will no longer sell personal navigation devices in the US. Gizmodo expects more firms to drop out as smartphones obtain a greater market share. We, on the other hand, wonder when those who have Navigon PND systems will be abandoned? Navigon assures gpsbusinessnews.com it "will continue to fulfill all obligations to [Navigon's] existing PND customers in terms of map update, etc.” But for how long?
