Edmund's Inside Line reports that, based on European patent-office drawings of the new MINI models leaked last week, there will be few substantive visual changes between the Frankfurt concepts and the production cars. Rumors abound that the Coupe and the Roadster will be offered in Cooper S and John Cooper Works trim and start at $30,000 when introduced in Europe next summer. MINI is also rumored to be in negotiations with Broadspeed, originally formed in the early '60s by Briton Ralph Broad, who tuned and raced Mini Coopers and built his own Mini-based Broadspeed GT Coupe in 1966, to use the Broadspeed name on a top performance edition of the Coupe.
