All Small Cars advises that the Automotive News has reported Tom Salkowsky, currently manager of corporate communications for BMW, will take over the role of MINI marketing manager from Trudy Hardy. Hardy will become BMW marketing communications manager replacing Patrick McKenna. McKenna will take the lead as MINI’s product strategy and motor experiences department.
Hardy and her staff oversaw MINI Takes The States 2010. Now, Hardy will be responsible for BMW’s national, event and direct marketing. The speculation is she will bring more grassroots and community style marketing to the brands.
