Yesterday we reported that MINI may make a matte black finish special edition MINI for France and some other European countries.
MotoringFile now confirms production of the "MINI Mat Edition" which, for now will be comprised of a limited 250 car run exclusively for France. The special edition is wrapped in a matte black film, and will feature a numbered side scuttle, matching key ring, and a checkerboard themed interior and mirror caps. The mat film carries a separate 2-year warranty and there is full factory paint underneath. A preview of the vehicle will be available at MINI Shades France during an open house starting January 22, 2011.
