MINI will launch a high performance diesel Cooper at the Geneva Motor Show in Mid-March. Reports say the engine could be a 2.0-liter turbodiesel with 143 horsepower and as much as 225 lb-ft of torque - more torque than any of the existing MINI engines – even the JCW on overboost. Unfortunately, it is not to be likely to be offered in the US.
