According to
MotoringFile, the EPA decided to double test the 2014 hardtop and the 2015 MINIs for fuel efficiency since they were classified as super ultra-low emissions vehicles. This held up certification which is a prerequisite for sale in the U.S. The EPA's findings are now out and the results are some surprisingly low MPG numbers that are not much better than those assigned to their predecessor vehicles.
