Los Angeles Times article a study of more than 80,000 repairs made nationally in 2010 by a network of repair shops that trade data with CarMD.com found that Californians pay 20% more for labor and 7% more for parts than the national average to get their cars fixed, That is more than drivers in almost every other state except Arizona which was the most expensive state for auto repairs, New Mexico and Colorado.
